Celebration of queen’s reign continues this afternoon in Oak Bay

Many residents gathered for the ceremony celebrating the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II outside of Oak Bay municipal hall during the noon hour today (Sept. 9). The Queen has served for 63 years, seven months and two days surpassing the reign of her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria makng her the longest serving monarch in Canadian and British history.

The festivities continue tonight during the final Oak Bay night market of the season, in the village on Oak Bay Avenue from 4 to 8 p.m.
