People can recognize the planes by their distinctive yellow paint schemes, although the planes will likely be operating away from public view. Those who do see the training exercises are asked to stand at least 100 metres from where they will be exercising. Boaters are asked to maintain a space of at least 400 metres from the water-based training scenario.

In addition to military search and rescue personnel, the exercise will include key partners from the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), the Canadian Coast Guard, the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) and Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCMSAR).
