Streams society partners with Tsartlip Nation and Pacifica Paddle to pull pollutants from land and sea

The shores of KENNES (Hagan Bight) are a little less trashy after a partnership saw volunteers recover 770 kg of debris over the weekend.

Peninsula Streams Society partnered with Tsartlip Nation and Pacifica Paddle to pull pollutants from land and sea while the District Central Saanich helped with disposal.

Peninsula Streams has restored and protected watersheds for more than two decades, across Greater Victoria with the aim to build health aquatic habitat to support native species in both freshwater and marine environments.

Anyone looking to participate in a future beach clean event can become a member at https://peninsulastreams.ca/ and register for programs.
