Oak Bay police arrest man 'rummaging' through pick-up truck

One man is in custody and awaits a bail hearing

In the early morning of Friday, July 5, Oak Bay police received reports of a "suspected prowler" entering backyards on Woodburn Avenue.

According to a news release from the Oak Bay Police Department, an officer attended the scene and located a man "rummaging inside a pick-up truck" parked on the road.

The man was found to be in breach of multiple court orders, including a 10 p.m. curfew and not to "handle or occupy a vehicle without the owners permission." He was arrested and held in custody to await his bail hearing.
