A curated selection of artisanal treasures will fill the Oak Bay Beach Hotel on Dec. 6, 13 and 20 for a holiday market.
Hosted by Tulipe Noire Clothing, a women's clothing boutique in Oak Bay, the event, called Winter Spirits Artisan Market, will boast an array of handcrafted goods, including Cowichan sweaters, luxury clothing, local art and sculptures, skin care, jewelry, books and bath and body products.
"Set in a stunning location, visitors can shop unique artisan goods and enjoy meals at The Snug or FARO Pizza," the hotel's marketing and public relations manager Anneke Avila said in an email. "This event offers a festive opportunity for guests and locals to shop ahead of the holidays, and we are thrilled to host it at our property."
10 per cent of all proceeds and 100 per cent of Cowichan sweater sales will go to the Victoria Native Friendship Centre – a Victoria-based non-profit that provides wrap-around services to the urban Indigenous community.
No tickets are necessary, and the event is open to the public and all hotel guests.
