Denis Donnelly and Lanny Pollet will perform their 12th annual New Year’s Day Music for Meditation on Sunday, Jan. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. at First Metropolitan United Church.

This event debuted on Millennium New Year’s Day and has become a popular finale to Victoria’s Christmas holiday season.

Award-winning musicians, Donnelly and Pollet now have two very successful CD recordings based on music offered at “Music for Meditation”.

Their lovely, reflective music-making, while rooted in Celtic tradition, features music based on folk melodies from around the world – presented in the beautifully peaceful, candle-lit setting of First Metropolitan United Church. Guests are invited to drop by – for two minutes or two hours, and to help themselves to refreshments available throughout the afternoon.

Suggested Donations of $10 are welcome. First Metropolitan United Church, Quadra at Balmoral. Call 250-388-5188 or visit www.firstmetvictoria.com.
