The CRD Arts Commission awarded grants worth $102,500 to 25 organizations in region.
The project grants support one-time initiatives, as well as projects of a developmental or recurring nature. They support production of a wide range of events in theatre, music, visual and literary arts, as well as a variety of festivals spanning film, music, dance, visual art and the arts of diverse cultures.
“The eight municipal partners of the Arts Development Service strongly believe in our region’s arts organizations and the role they play in creating a healthy and vibrant community,” said Colin Plant, chair of the commission. “Project grants encourage creativity, support innovation and help our arts organizations provide programming that provides accessible events for all ages and interests.”
Oak Bay, Victoria, Saanich, Esquimalt, Metchosin, Highlands, View Royal and Sidney support the CRD Arts Development Service.
