Finish summer with a full moon community walk Aug. 29.
"For this last full moon walk of summer, we continue to venture north, circling our fabulous Uplands Park and dipping into the historic and prestigious Uplands neighbourhood," says organizer Ron Carter.
Hosted by the Oak Bay Community Association, the walk starts at 7:30 p.m. in the main parking lot at Cattle Point then follows the the southern edge of the park in a circuit toward Beach Drive in time to catch the moonrise simultaneous to the sunset.
All ages are welcome and families encouraged. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is suggested and walkers should hope for the best but prepare for worst weather-wise as the event goes on rain or shine.
