After a four-year hiatus, Oak Bay choral students are back singing love songs to anyone who pays.

Oak Bay High Love-a-grams are a key fundraiser for student music trips and with travel back on, so is the lovable program.

Small groups of choir students will serenade sweethearts on Valentine’s Day. For $40, the recipient receives one long-stemmed red rose, Lindor chocolates, a personalized card and a love song.

This fundraiser is for the senior music trip to Disneyland and the junior trip to Strathcona Park Lodge. After a few years of cancelled trips, students and parents are more invested than ever, say the grateful music teachers at Oak Bay High.

In the past, students have sung love-a-grams in schools, offices, banks, seniors homes, restaurants and private residences.

An Oak Bay High choir program Love-a-gram is available Feb. 14 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. The deadline to book is Feb. 10 at 10 p.m. Bookings are available online here or with cash at Oak Bay High, 2121 Cadboro Bay Rd.
