Thousands flood local studios for tour

Bright weekend brings out art-lovers

Textile artist Jean Betts shows Anne Thomson a tea towel she wove from Japanese hand-made paper and linen during the annual spring studio tour. Betts handcuts the paper to .3mm strips and spins it before weaving. Art lovers had a chance to visit the studios of 19 local artists to see their pieces and to chat with artists where they create their art during a free two day self-guided free event around Oak Bay.
