This old house needs a new coat

Figuring out what colour to paint your house can be a daunting task at any time.

But when it’s a vintage home – especially those designated or registered as heritage – your paint colours can be an even tougher choice.

Local architectural historian Richard Collier, along with Dean Marchtaler of Colormart and Gary Berg of Kelly-Moore Paints, will form a panel that will try to shed some light on the topic of historical colour palettes.

The two-hour workshop, hosted by Oak Bay Heritage, gets underway at 7 p.m. next Wednesday (Feb. 9) at Windsor Park Pavilion, 2451 Windsor Rd.

Admission is by donation and refreshments will be served.
