Skaters and on-ice wannabes can sharpen their skills with private skating lessons at Oak Bay Recreation Centre this spring and summer.
The lessons are offered every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon from now until late August.
One-on-one lessons cost $26.50 per half-hour or $212 for 10 half-hour sessions. In groups of two, the cost is $31 per half-hour for both, or $248 for a 10-pack.
Once your skating is up to par, a program called Power Unlimited aims to increase skaters’ power and skills for the good old hockey game.
Full hockey gear is required for the program, running every Wednesday from now until June 22 for adults (7:45 to 8:45 p.m.) and kids (10-13 years old, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.).
