Three-year-old Oscar Le Roux enjoys storm watching for the first time, walking hand in hand with his father Ruan Le Roux along Cattle Point in Oak Bay. The stonework through which they are seen, stqéya (Staqueya), was sculpted by Ken Laforme and honours Staqueya, the male wolf that spent much of its life off the coast of Oak Bay on Songhees lands known as Chatham (Stsnaang) and Discovery (Skingeenis) islands. The sculpture also pays homage to the late Songhees Nation Chief Robert Sam.
