A social media groups hosts a free baby and toddler social at Windsor Park
“Right now in Oak Bay we won’t have any free walkable programs,” said Julie Helms, administrator of the Oak Bay Local Facebook page. “We’re trying to do what we would like if we could fund it.”
It’s not a ‘mommy’ group, Helms says, but open to all.
“The whole ides is it takes a village…. whoever our village is can come,” she said. “We want make sure people don’t feel isolated and make sure they have resources.”
Oak Bay Local is covering the room rental and co-ordinatin the event with local businesses Hide+Seek, Wee Nourish and Windsor Cafe offering up snacks and refreshments.
The Baby and Toddler Social is Friday, May 25 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Windsor Pavilion.
