Seven men to sing songs from the centuries

Voices across the Centuries Sunday, April 14 at 3 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church

Hector’s Friends present Men’s Voices across the Centuries Sunday, April 14 at 3 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 1701 Elgin Road.

Hector’s Friends (seven male singers) are directed by Michael Denton with Stephen Shields, accompanist. Their program includes Gregorian chant; music by Byrd, Campion, Tomkins, Purcell and Mozart; Canadian folk songs and sea songs from Stan Rogers and Allister MacGillivray. There is something for every taste.

Admission is  $10, students and accompanied children free. Tickets are available at Ivy’s Bookshop, La Tavola, Long & McQuade and from choir members.
