Oak Bay enjoyed a little snow Christmas day with happy little snowmen popping up on lawns across the community.

A sepecial weather statement suggests the region is in for a little more snow today.

According to Environment Canada a frontal system advancing from the Pacific will result in snow developing this morning over BC south coast with snowfall amounts up to five centimetres today.

Snow is expected to change to rain tomorrow over Vancouver Island and parts of Metro Vancouver. Amounts are expected to be highly variable.
