The Friends of Uplands Park will host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and discuss the region's fragile biodiversity, focusing on the diverse species of birds and insects that inhabit the Garry oak ecosystem.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Oak Bay’s unique habitat through the photography and expertise of Thomas Barbin and bird specialist Geoffrey Newell.
The event takes place on Thursday (Nov. 28) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Windsor Park Pavilion.
Membership fees are $10 for individuals and $20 for families and can be paid at the event.
