Oak Bay recreation centre grows farmer’s market for fall in Oak Bay

Vendors needed for markets on Sundays, Oct. 14, Nov. 4 and Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A farm market grows indoors this fall at the Monterey Recreation Centre.

“The inspiration for the indoor Fall Farmers markets came from seeing the success and enthusiasm for the Oak Bay markets,” said Lesley Cobus, co-ordinator, Monterey Recreation Centre.

In the past, the centre hosted a November Artisan Show & Sale, which transforms into the farm market this fall.

“The indoor Farmers Markets are a Fusion Event including Artisans, local farmers, food producers and six garage sale tables for Oak Bay families,” Cobus said.

Markets are set for Sundays, Oct. 14, Nov. 4 and Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monterey currently seeks vendors, with the call out now to Oct. 1 or while space remains.

Apply at the Monterey Recreation Centre, 1442 Monterey Ave., reception desk now through Sept. 28 or as space remains.
