The Oak Bay Kiwanis Tea Room was transformed to act as an ice cream parlour Tuesday for a scene in the made-for-TV movie Cedar Cove, starring Andie MacDowell.

Based on the popular romance novels by Debbie Macomber, Cedar Cove is set in a fictitious Pacific Northwestern town, production manager Paul Rayman said.

The Hallmark Channel movie is being filmed in various locations around Oak Bay and Victoria. The production will include ‘walk and talk’ scenes and will piece together parts of Victoria to depict the small town of Cedar Cove.
