History-making team leaves a legacy for Oak Bay High

Oak Bay High’s Caroline Crossley checks for tacklers during a game against Spectrum Community School at the rugby wrap-up jamboree at Oak Bay High on May 13.

This year was the first time in the school’s nearly 85-year history that Oak Bay High fielded a girls rugby team.

The year also marked the first Girls Sevens high school league which boasted a total of eight teams participating.
