Avoiding their razors for 30 days helped a team of Oak Bay firefighters raise some serious money for men’s health issues.
As part of the Movember campaign, the group raised $2,200.
“We had great participation from the department and we had donations coming in from the public, which was great,” said firefighter and campaign spokesperson Kyle Beaumont.
Oak Bay firefighters have now raised about $5,500 for Movember. This year they were part of the Great Canadian Fire Department Challenge, which raised more than $300,000 overall.
