Noodlebox raises funds for mental health

Noodlebox managing partner Jim Hayden and CEO Jeremy Wilson presented a $10,000 cheque to Canadian Mental Health Association program manager Jocelyn de Montmorency and employment job coach Geoff Moffett. The money was raised through the proceeds of Noodlebox sales in Greater Victoria on Sept. 20 and will benefit local programs such as Gatekeeper Training, where people are trained to help those who may be at risk of suicide. Hayden, part owner of four Noodlebox locations in Victoria, started this fundraiser in honour of his late brother Will who he tragically lost to suicide in 2010.

For more information about training and upcoming programs contact the Victoria CMHA office at 250-216-4228 or the Need 2 Crisis Centre general inquiry line at 250-386-6328

If someone you know is in crisis call the 24-hour Vancouver Island Crisis Centre at 1-888-494-3888.
