No Christmas cakes from Oak Bay Kiwanis this year

Traditional fruitcake fundraiser a no-go for 2017

Kiwanis Christmas fruitcake is out this year.

Every holiday season the local non-profit raises funds for its various community initiatives through the popular sale. Due to production difficulties this fall their bakery supplier was unable to deliver the goods.

”Your continued support of the Kiwanis Club of Oak Bay and our Christmas Cake Sales are very much appreciated,” the club said in a statement to the Oak Bay News. “We look forward to carrying on the tradition next year.”
