University of Victoria and Team Canada rugby player Adam Kleeberger has not only earned praise for his play at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand – he was named man of the match in an opening-game win over Tonga last week – his flowing facial hair has landed him on the front page of newspapers and magazines in countries where the sport is popular.

On the field, his team sat with a 1-1 record in pool play after beating Tonga and losing to France. Its crucial next match, against Japan, will be televised on TSN Monday (Sept. 26) starting at 8:30 p.m. PST.
