Children from the Gonzales Co-op Preschool chip in to clean up some local beaches. Angela Paletta-Haslam said the cleanup event is important for the preschool because they believe in serving their community. “At Gonzales, we incorporate nature inside and out in our play,” she said. “So taking care of our local environment is a perfect fit for our children and their families.” Parent Bethan Ostermann called it an awesome event for the kids. “They’re learning stewardship of the beaches around Oak Bay, their favourite places to play.”
