The Victoria Downtown Public Market Society is pairing up with Canoe Brewpub to show a documentary, Ingredients, about the rise of the local food movement.
Brent Warner, executive director of Farmer's Markets Canada, will also speak at the March 14 event about the economic benefits of such markets. Tickets are $10 and include treats from market vendors, free samples of Belgian beer and a raffle.
The event takes place at Canoe Brewpub, 450 Swift St. Doors open at 7 p.m.
