Fair caters to region’s love of all things vintage

The appetite for vintage duds in Victoria is alive and well.

After three successful runs, VintAgeous is coming back with more vendors than ever.

The vintage fair features clothing, jewelry and miscellaneous items and the shopping can be competitive, organizer Sarah Rempel said.

“For the first hour each day, it is pretty insane,” she said.

To cool the atmosphere down, she’s created a special $20 early-entrance price for the most serious, and competitive shoppers. Otherwise, admission is $3, and 40 per cent of door proceeds go to support the Fernwood Resource Group.

There are 30 registered vendors, including vintage collectors, shop owners and people downsizing their wardrobe.

VintAgeous also features roaming fashion shows by Heritage Productions and Sam’s Sideshow. The event happens at the Fernwood Community Centre, 1240 Gladstone Ave., Feb. 25 and 26. For more information, visit www.vintagefairvictoria.com.
