Spring has sprung and Oak Bay’s Embrace Twilight walkers are in for a treat this month.

“In baseball terms, since after all it is baseball season, we have ourselves a double header and both events are grand slams,” says Ron Carter, an organizer of the Community Association of Oak Bay-let monthly ambles.

Embrace the Twilight with a one-hour stroll carefully along the paths through the camas at Uplands Park. The walk starts April 28 at 7 p.m. at Cattle Point, sticking to paths through the meadows where camas, Shooting Stars, Chocolate lilies, Spring Gold are expected to be at their zenith. The paths are a little undulating and can be still mucky so wear appropriate footwear and prepare to be amazed.

The family friendly festival takes place the next day from noon to 3 p.m. in the same location. The event, hosted by FOUP and the Greater Victoria Green Team, features displays by many important like minded organizations, live music and tours.
