The Victoria Dragon Boat Festival has a new executive director.
Linda Tesser was appointed the head of the society, which organizes the annual race and festival in the Inner Harbour and brings together 90 teams from across the continent. Tesser has a background in marketing, event management and sales.
This is the 17th year of the festival, which runs in August. It incorporates music, food and Pacific cultural demonstrations.
