Oak Bay’s Carlton House employee, Rowena Hendriks, is the recipient of this year’s Chamber of Commerce business award for Employee of the Year.
Hendriks, an Oak Bay resident, has been manager of leisure services and assistant to the executive director at Carlton House for the past six years and was thrilled to take home the award as nominations were received from across Greater Victoria.
"Rowena’s above-and-beyond attitude and her willingness to say yes in every situation makes her an amazing asset," said Seona Stephen, executive director of Carlton House. "Carlton House is better because of the hard work she has devoted to it. I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this award."
