Blethering Place’s Agate to be honoured with dinner

Oak Bay tourism movers and shakers are honouring former Blethering Place owner Ken Agate with a dinner Friday, April 1 at Victoria Golf Club.

“He’s been a stalwart part of the Oak Bay community for over 30 years,” said organizer and Oak Bay Beach Hotel co-owner Shawna Walker. “In my years of working with him he just said ‘yes’ to anything we asked of him. We feel he’s a great guy who will be missed and we wanted to say goodbye in an appropriate way.”

Tickets for the 6 p.m. event are $50, which includes a gift for Ken, and can be purchased by calling Oak Bay Guest House at 250-598-3812 or e-mailing stay@oakbayguesthouse.com.
