6 Easter egg hunts in Greater Victoria this weekend

There is family fun happening in every part of the capital region!

Easter is around the corner and with Friday being a federal holiday, there are all kinds of family friendly activities to take part in during the long weekend in Greater Victoria.

No matter what part of the capital region you call home, there’s something happening in your area.

Here’s a quick look at a few of the events happening throughout the region:

West Shore

Easter Party – March 30, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Millstream Village in Langford.

Take a selfie with the Easter Bunny, try some Taekwondo demo’s, get your face painted, and enter to win one of two gift baskets worth $500 each.

Beaver Lake Park

19th annual Easter egg hunt – March 31, activities start at 9:30 a.m.

The hunt starts promptly at 11 a.m. and is over in two shakes of a bunny’s tale - there are over 30,000 chocolates!

Oak Bay

Oak Bay Easter Celebration – March 31, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the park behind municipal hall.

The Easter Bunny will be there to interact with the kids and provide photo opportunities alongside the chocolate hunts for children of all ages. Other activities include face painting, a magician, cookies and cupcakes, and an Oak Bay police car and firetruck on display for the children to explore.

Sooke

Easter EGGstravaganza - March 31, 10:30 a.m. for ages 1-4, 11:15 a.m. for ages 5-7 at SEAPARC Leisure Complex

Join the Easter Bunny for a fun-filled, family event with a bouncy castle, crafts and Easter egg hunt.

Saanich

HOP Easter egg hunt – March 31, 10:30 a.m. in the Town Plaza of Uptown Mall.

This will be their second annual event. Bring your basket and fill up on Easter goodies!

Sidney

Easter Egg Hunt – April 1, 1-2 p.m. at Iroquois Park in Sidney.

Outdoor egg hunts for children begin at 1:00 pm and run until 2:00 pm. At the end of the hunt, trade your eggs for treats from the Easter Bunny! Other activities include fun and games with the team from Panorama Recreation Centre.

The Royal BC Museum is hosting an April Fool’s scavenger hunt from March 30 to April 8. See if you can spot the subtle tricks exhibit staff have played in the museum galleries.
