In a twist of generosity, a bid for Uplands sewer separation information paid forward to the fire victims of Fort McMurray.
David O’Sullivan, president of PW Trenchless Construction Inc., visited the area then shared his expertise in the use of trenchless technology on the installation of pipes with council last month.
When Oak Bay went to pay the expert, he chose to have his consultant fees forwarded to help residents of Fort McMurray, devastated by fire last month.
“That donation is an act of compassion and grace,” said Oak Bay Mayor Nils Jensen. “We appreciate his generosity that’s for sure.”
