Terry Zlot, owner of The Print Lab in Oak Bay, has won second place in the document frame category of Frame Star, a North America-wide frame design contest.
The wedding gift started out as PDF sheet music of the musician couple’s song Someone Like You. Transformed in Photoshop with toned ink and aged paper backgrounds and printed on cotton paper with hand-torn edges, each sheet was floated off the backer board for subtle shadow effect. Premium anti-reflective glass in a frame completed the effect and brought the bride to tears.
