Sunny skies meant a pair of merry events this weekend at the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club.
Friday night, members marked the start of the final weekend in July with Maddalon Tray Women’ Scotch Pairs
Henriette Ballinger and JoAnn Edquist finished first, followed by Pat Thomas and Barb Davidge in second and Linda Cowir and Fern Price in third.
The club capped July with the Dore Cup Mixed Scotch Pairs July 29 and 30.
Eric and Henriette Ballinger won the A Event over Brent Merchant and Mary Magill.
Mort Nelson and Karen Evans finished first ahead of Al Wood and Christine Shepherd in the B Event.
Linda Cowie & David Anderson won the C Event ahead of Ian and Diane McMorran.
The Oak Bay club gears up for its Sage Green this weekend. Deadline to register is Aug. 1 at bowlsoakbay.ca.
