Falcon Gymnasts pick up three medals at Artistic Gymnastics Provincials

A trio of Falcon Gymnastics athletes are flying high with provincial medals hanging from their necks as their club hosts the 35th Annual Garden City Invitational, Saturday and Sunday at Pearkes Arena field house.

Last month 10 Falcon Gymnastics members showed competed at the 2017 Artistic Gymnastics BC Championships held this year in Port Coquitlam. The team picked up three medals and 14 top-10 placements in the various categories of vault, uneven bars, beam and floor exercise.

Picking up the medals were Saanich athletes Jordan Reilly (inset photo), silver on vault, and Leonie Solomons, with bronze on the bars. Central Saanich’s Karley Telford earned bronze on the beam.

This weekend’s Garden City Invitational starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, until 5 p.m. each night.
