Transport, don’t kill the deer

Polar bears that become a nuisance in Churchill are tranquilized and kept in pens until they can be transported back to the wilderness.

Why can’t we treat our deer the same way the town of Churchill Man. treats its nuisance polar bears?

As I understand it, polar bears that become a nuisance in Churchill are tranquilized and kept in holding pens until they can be transported back to the wilderness.

I can’t imagine the cost of tranquilizing a dozen or so deer, periodically, and transporting them to Strathcona Provincial Park to be released would cost more than trapping and killing them in Oak Bay.

If I were a deer, and could chose, I’d pick the wilderness option.
