Taxpayers could be on the hook

I hope Oak Bay's mayor and council are sharpening their pencils and reassessing their priorities.

With the unfortunate situation at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel leaving almost $750,000 in back taxes and service fees, taxpayers here may be scrambling to raise money for our own taxes. Couple that with the tens of millions for a sewage treatment plant plus another quarter-million (including CRD funding until March 2015) for a deer cull I hope mayor and council are sharpening their pencils and reassessing their priorities.
