Previous letters to the editor have commented on the amount of dog feces that is not picked up by dog owners.
I am a dog owner, and walk my dog around south Oak Bay a fair amount and I would like to add that I am surprised at the number of filled bags that are left on the side of roads and back lanes – and sometimes stuffed into hedges.
The people who pick up after their dogs are at least following one step in being responsible dog owners. Now they need to complete the “poop and scoop” process by actually depositing their bags in one of the many public garbage cans.
