Letter: Traffic woes alight ahead of school season

The traffic at the intersection of Foul Bay Road and Fort Street desperately needs to be addressed before the school year opens.

With the Jubilee hospital, medical buildings, Save On Foods, buses stopping at all four corners and Oak Bay High, to say nothing of the proposed Bowker development, this intersection needs an advanced left turn from all directions, not just from Fort onto Foul Bay.

Early mornings are a nightmare with traffic in the winter months. Cars run the yellow light and slip between pedestrians in the crosswalks. The Richmond Road and Fort intersection runs smoothly and does not have nearly the amount of morning traffic.
