I would like to thank Coun. Hazel Braithwaite for having spring-loaded garbage can lids placed on the all of the receptacles around my beloved Carnarvon Park.
Crows, and maybe raccoons at times, would dip into the garbage, pull it out, and then spread it everywhere.
Myself and other ‘park stewards’ so-to-speak, have picked up garbage for a long time, but now it’s much, much better.
So a big thank you, Coun. Braithwaite. And for a park once described as filthy by our very own mayor (a shockingly disrespectful comment to actually express to the press), it’s looking more beautiful then ever.
