Dec. 3 was a very special evening. It would not be until the next day that we all heard the sad news that the Oak Bay Beach Hotel had fallen into receivership.
Tonight though was the time for celebration – the sight of Rowena Yipp once again organizing the wonderful Hampshire House Chinese Food Christmas Dinner that she has been doing since the condo was built in the 1960s, over 50 years ago.
Fifty years of Chinese Food Christmas parties.
Thanks for doing this Rowena. It means so much to so many residents, many of whom were no doubt gazing down at us all and missing that amazing pleasure we humans get from a great Christmas party.
