West Shore RCMP is seeking help from the public in an investigation into a pair of flashing incidents in Langford.

Two women reported a man exposing himself to them, in two separate incidents Thursday (Jan. 27), police said in a release.

The first report detailed a man exposing his genitals while a woman waited for a bus in the 2600 block of Sooke Road at around 6:45 a.m. The man later fled toward the Galloping Goose Trail. That same day, police received a second similar report from a woman who was walking on Luxton Road near Marwood Avenue – roughly two kilometres away – around 6:50 a.m.

In both instances, the suspect was described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s to early 30s with a slim build and shoulder length blond hair. He was wearing a black jacket with either a light bathrobe or a skirt underneath.

“The initial challenge investigators faced was that these incidents were reported later in the morning, which hindered our ability to attend the area right away to locate the suspect,” said West Shore RCMP Cpl. Alex Bérubé. “We need to identify this suspect as soon as possible to prevent any further escalation in his deviant behaviour.”

Police are encouraging anyone who may have been travelling in those areas around those times to review their personal dash camera videos which may have captured the suspect. Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who may have been a victim or witness to similar incidents in the area to report it to the police immediately.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
