Snowfall warning for Malahat, 5-10 cm expected for Victoria

And it doesn’t look like it’s stopping until Saturday morning

After a flakey morning, the snow is officially coming down and sticking around.

Snow is expected to hit the downtown core with upwards of 5 cm of accumulation by Saturday morning. For areas further from the water and higher terrain 10 cm of accumulation is expected by Saturday.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Malahat Highway from Goldstream to Mill Bay and Greater Victoria with additional wind warnings in Greater Victoria.

“Damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows, may occur.”
