Police looking for change-room voyeurism suspect in Victoria

Man allegedly tried to take photos or video of woman in changing room at a downtown Victoria store

Victoria police are trying to identify a person suspected of taking either photos or video of a woman in a downtown changing room.

Just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, police responded to the report of alleged voyeurism at the changing room at a retail store on the 1100-block of Douglas Street.

The suspect fled the area after being confronted by a staff member at the store. They described as having thick black hair and a plaid jacket with a red and yellow logo on the back.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the report desk at 250-995-7654. Anonymous tips can be reported to Greater Victoria Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or at the online at victoriacrimestoppers.ca.
