Halloween
Oak Bay Police had a quiet night with only two Halloween-related calls. One call was a report of fireworks and the other involved unknown people throwing things at traffic. Neither of these calls resulted in charges.
Stolen vehicle
An unlocked vehicle was stolen from a driveway in Oak Bay on Nov. 2. The suspect located a spare key inside the vehicle and drove away.
Attempted break-in to stay warm
After receiving a call about a man attempting to gain entry into an apartment on Nov. 4, Oak Bay Police found him in a nearby car. The homeless man had recently arrived from Alberta and was looking for a place to get warm. He later moved on to “Our Place.”
