With a report ready, council will hit the big conversation after the Floor Area Ratio committee submitted a report in the ongoing discussion over land use.
“This conversation was spurred out of concern over large houses being built on small lots,” said Coun. Kevin Murdoch. He chaired the floor area ratio committee that issued the report to look at setbacks, allowable floor area and other guidelines to how homes may be built or renovated in Oak Bay in the future.
The Floor Area Ratio report plan will be put on the agenda for a future committee meeting. Agendas are posted online at oakbay.ca.
