The free service applies to all routes throughout the Victoria Regional Transit System, a small gesture to honour the men and women who serve or have served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Bus drivers are encouraged to stop their buses at 11 a.m. where it is safe and possible to do so in order to observe the traditional minute of silence in memory of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the name of war.

Saturday will see regular bus service and next Monday (Nov. 13), the regular Saturday schedule will apply. For information on routes and schedules, visit BCTransit.com
