No fire in attempted arson at Oak Bay school

Oak Bay Police are investigating an attempted arson after being called to the Uplands Campus School on Henderson Road on March 9.

While no fire was set, it was apparent the person responsible brought items to the scene that would be used to set a fire.

There have been no similar events in the immediate area and no indication of a motive.

A member from the Saanich Police Forensic Identification Section attended conducted a scene examination. A red plastic gas can and other items have been recovered.


Police ask anyone with information to call Oak Bay police at 250-592-2424 or Greater Victoria Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
