Oak Bay News opens new office

The Oak Bay News is proud to be an even bigger part of the community of Oak Bay.

After many years working out of Black Press’ downtown office, the staff of the Oak Bay News is once again a physical presence in the district of Oak Bay with a location in Athlone Court on Oak Bay Avenue.

“We’re very happy to be located in Oak Bay once again,” says editor Laura Lavin. “Being in the heart of the action is where every community newspaper editor, reporter and advertising consultant wants to be.”

Part of the BC owned and operated Black Press chain of community newspapers, the Oak Bay News has a local presence dating back 40 years.

The News started out in 1974 as the independently owned Oak Bay Star and became the Oak Bay News in 1993.

Delivered free to every home and business in Oak Bay and available at newstands throughout the municipality, the Oak Bay News is an award-winning, twice-weekly paper serving the community of just over 18,000 people.

The Oak Bay News is located at  207A - 2187 Oak Bay Ave.
